The New Hampshire Furniture Masters Association (NHFMA) was founded in 1995 as a means of continuing the state’s legacy of fine furniture making. Its members are committed to maintaining their craft as a full-time profession by generating public awareness of their works and cultivating an audience for their creations. The Masters create studio furniture in an array of styles including Period, Early American, Shaker, Neo-Classical, Traditional, Contemporary and Art Furniture. Craftwork Masterclass will present the work of sixteen members of the Furniture Masters. Exhibiting will be: Ted Blachly, John Cameron, Jeffrey Cooper, Garrett Hack, Howard Hatch (a 1967 alumnus of Phillips Exeter Academy), David Lamb (New Hampshire’s Artist Laureate), David Leach, Wayne Marcoux, Terry Moore, Sam Norris, Richard Oedel, Jere Osgood, Brian Reid, Brian Sargent, William Thomas, Thomas Walsh, and 2010 Guest Artist Jeffrey Roberts.
“The Furniture Masters are delighted to be showing their works at the Lamont Gallery,” remarks current Chair David Lamb. “The Lamont Gallery is well-known for the quality of its exhibits and Phillips Exeter Academy is a highly respected institution.
