About My Work
For 30 years my life has been thoroughly intertwined with my Sculptured Furniture, this endeavor taking me from NY to Berlin,Germany and now to southern Utah. My focus is the dialog between functional and aesthetic values, balancing these in each piece. I sculpt with wood, defining interior space and exterior boundaries. My work combines wood’s inherent qualities with ergonomics to create organic forms, engaging the user through function and visual language. Within the context of fine furniture, I infuse my work with artistic sensuality, embrace visual and tactile senses and encourage human contact, defining my vision as an artist.
