The 2012 Appalachian State University 7th Annual Chair Design Competition has put out a call for entries!
This year’s theme, “Skewed” is a chair design and fabrication competition organized to promote and encourage an exploration in production seating. Students must explore the concept of designing for multiple production of a chair. This should include production techniques, materials, labor and product cost. Designs must be original and fully push the boundaries of design. Students are encouraged to look past their preconceived notions of the chair, the materials, and methods used to construct them.
Please contact chaircomp@appstate.edu with questions regarding the competition, submissions or the documents below. All documents may be opened with Microsoft Word.
